What Happens After a New Enquiry

  1. Initial review of your enquiry – We may request brief additional information.

  2. Pathway guidance – We confirm the most appropriate assessment or consultation type.

  3. Appointment allocation – You receive booking confirmation and any required forms.

For diagnostic pathways, questionnaires and supporting documentation are sometimes required before the first appointment.

Existing Patients

If you are already under the care of the clinic, you may book:

  • 30 or 60 minute follow up consultations

  • Weight review consultations

  • Physical observation appointments

Cancellations

We require two working days’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Late cancellations may be chargeable in line with our terms and conditions.

Urgent or Emergency Support

WMI Psychiatry is not an emergency service.

If there is immediate concern about safety:

  • Call 999

  • Attend your nearest A&E department

  • Contact your local NHS crisis service

If risk increases between scheduled appointments, please contact us and we will respond as soon as possible within our normal working hours.

All enquiries are handled confidentially in accordance with UK GDPR. Personal information submitted via our website or email is processed securely and only for the purpose of delivering clinical care.
