Dr James Glass

Medical Director

Dr James Glass is Medical Director of WMI Psychiatry, with a particular clinical interest in ADHD. Alongside his private practice, he works at Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust, where he has been Lead Psychiatrist at Bury Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) since 2022.

James qualified in medicine from the University of Birmingham in 2014, obtaining his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB). He gained Membership of the Royal College of Psychiatrists (MRCPsych) in 2020. He has also held an Honorary Clinical Lecturer position at the University of Lancashire since 2023, contributing to medical education alongside his clinical work.

His particular interest in ADHD includes understanding how difficulties with attention, activity levels and impulsivity affect everyday life, while considering each person’s wider mental health needs.

As Medical Director, James provides psychiatric leadership and oversees clinical standards at WMI Psychiatry. He works closely with Caroline Lawrence and the wider multidisciplinary team to support thorough assessment, diagnosis and individual treatment planning.

Caroline Lawrence

Clinical Lead and Registered Manager | Registered Mental Health Nurse and Independent Nurse Prescriber

Caroline Lawrence is a Registered Mental Health Nurse and Independent Nurse Prescriber with over 20 years’ experience working within NHS mental health services. Her career spans administration, frontline care, staff training and clinical leadership.

Alongside her work at WMI Psychiatry, Caroline works at Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust as Clinical Lead for the neurodevelopmental service within Bury Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS). Her experience includes managing complex clinical cases, providing clinical supervision and contributing to service development. She works closely with multidisciplinary colleagues, families, schools and other services to support care centred on each person’s needs.

Caroline became a Registered Mental Health Nurse in 2019, following several years working as a Nursing Assistant and an instructor in the prevention and management of violence and aggression. This background has contributed to her experience in risk assessment, care planning, crisis intervention and staff education.

She also holds a Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector (PTLLS) qualification, supporting her work in training and supervision. As an Independent Nurse Prescriber, she undertakes medication assessment, prescribing and ongoing treatment reviews within her scope of practice.

As Clinical Lead and Registered Manager at WMI Psychiatry, Caroline combines clinical responsibilities with the day-to-day management of the service. She works closely with Dr James Glass and the wider team to support safe, well-organised and compassionate care.
